Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration is a joint triennial exhibition celebrating the diversity of artistic practices in the Tampa Bay region. Following the success of the initial Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration at regional museums in 2017, and the second iteration in 2021, the institutional partnership continues to expand for the 2024 presentation to include the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art , the Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art and Design; the Tampa Museum of Art, and the USF Contemporary Art Museum. 

Skyway 2024 will feature the work of selected artists from the five counties served by our respective museums: Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, and Sarasota. Presented during the summer and fall of 2024, Skyway artists’ works will be exhibited across the five venues highlighting the range of contemporary art created in the gulf coast region. A call for artists will occur in the summer of 2023, and the submissions are to be juried by curators from each of the museums, plus guest juror Evan Garza. The five participating institutions will co-publish a fully illustrated catalogue, featuring the work of each exhibiting artist, to accompany the exhibition.
